How big is the Oscar? I wouldn't put a black with an oscar unless the aro was at least 2x as long as the oscar. As far as your tank goes, you'd need to be looking to upgrade rather soon or at least get seperate tanks for the aro and oscar.

It may be a problem, there are lots of people who will post pics of their oscars and arowana together and tell you it works fine. Though there are enough cases of members oscars killing arowanas here on MFK to say that it doesn't work. It would be up to you, but thats a very expensive fish to risk.
