i have one small redhook i purchased about 2 months ago at 1" it's now about 2 1/2"..it's in a 55gal with two reg silver dollars, two uaru, a gold sev and a few catfish...i don't find that he is skittish at all...seems the regular silver dollars are much more skittish...the reg silver dollars are almost 4" long and the little redhook beats them up pretty good...anyone know if redhooks are fin predators?

mine are no where near skittish

and my tank is bare except for sand

Mine aren't either. Mine dont freak out at all. The one good thing about these guys, is that they can take a beating and are expert swimmers, so they can go in with some rough tankmates.

I have one red hook and 6 regular old silver dollars in with a pbass. They are about 6" across. The pbass chases, but can't catch one. They are very quick! I like them. Not fussy at all, and pretty mindless as well. Nothing seems to bother them. They will run, but come back for more!
