What size tank is this? Plecos generate a lot of waste. Angel fish also do better in groups as opposed to a solo fish. Having said that 3 is never a good number because if a pair forms the odd fish will get harresed to death. 4 or 5 is a good number from my experiance, spreads the agression out. Tetras that are too large to be eaten are fine with angle fish. Cardinals & Neons will be eaten buy adult angelfish. Serpeas and any tetras around that size are fine as long as they are in a group of 6 or more as they tend to nip fins if there is not a group of them to interact with this is especially true if you have veiltail angels. Lemon Tetras will also be fine. My advise would be to choose one or two types of tetra at most and get a group of each. Hatchet fish work well with angelfish too. Angelfish are not fussy eaters I start mine on NLS Grow Formula .5mm which will also be good for the tertas, my Serpeas eat it every day. My adult angelfish get NLS Thera A in 1mm size. They love Freeze dried blood worms too and my Hatchet fish also eats it floating on the surface along with the tetras. Other than that keep the water, filters and substrate clean and it's pretty easy. My only concern here is I don't know what size tank you have and like I said the plecos are waste generators. If you keep to angels tetras and hatchet fish with some corys for bottom duty a 75 gallon tank with adaquate filtration would be ok, angelfish get bigger than most assume (height wise). Angelfish do better in taller tanks.
