I would go with a single freddy/loiselle/mota or a single polleni. Unless you have a large tank CA/SA don't do well in com setups, so a single wet pet is your best shot.

then you have diet issues different sizes and different aggression, sure it can be done but most the time it wont work well.

+ for the fish the OP wants his already pushing the limits of his 55g.

The same thing goes for fish of the same continent. Red Bay Snooks mainly consume fish and other animals and stuff, whilst say Elliotis are mainly sand sifters and sift through the sand to consume all sorts of detritus and other stuff in the substrate.

Red Devils will also kill a HRP 9 times out of 10 (conservative estimate).

Of course it takes work and research and all that, but mixing different species of fish will always require at least some work and research to be able to well, mix them, regardless. :)

ok got a Question for everyone, yes i did get two severums ( green ) and two chocolate cichlids. both species are about the size of a quarter, would they do better growing out in a 20 long ( with three blind cave fish/8 cherry barbs, one female guppy and her frys ) or to stay in the 12 eclipse tell they reach 2 to 3 inches? if anything i can put the blind cave fish/7 cherry barbs in my 12 eclipse, dont really care if the cichlids eat my guppy frys. these guys will have a 55 to themselfs ( full stock will be 1 chocolate 1 green severum )
