Try leaving it out in the sun for along time... month... this will dry it out alot... i do this to most of my fireplace food.... and when i sock it for smoking it sinks fast.
While I see absolutely no change in boyancy, I'll try boiling it again tomorrow for a few more hours. If this doesn't work, I'll offer it for free to anyone who lives close by to pick up in person and is looking for a challenge of sinking the unsinkable
