State of chaos
ppl on aquaria central seem to disgaree on Knifefis, Black Ghosts, in a 30 with small Glass Catfish. Yet live aquaria comments state that they can be in a 30. So whats your opinion, and will they eat Ghost Glass Catfish?

no need to be rude guys he was just asking id suggest 55 gallon as minimum really but tbh they dont normally reach full size mainly because of ppl putting them in too small tanks

Never trust liveaquaria's tank sizes.

hmmm....30 gals in no good for a knife, why dont you wait until you have more cash and room to get a big tank and then you can make sure he lives healthy

A 30g tank would be fine for an African Brown Knife, but not a Black Ghost Knife. BGKs grow slow so a 30g may house it for a year or two depending how big it was purchased at.

since 20 to 25" is their max size, do a little math. how big is a 30 gallon tank?
in captivity its rare to see them past 16 inches
the max size in the wild is 20
not 25

as for your problem
you could use th 30 as a growout
but not for life
i would say a 55g
