It is in my backyard........And Snake attacks have NEVER EVER been a factor.......Please do your reasearch before posting mis-information.......The right information on the subject is out there for the world to see, and it's not hard to find......

I don't think this was directed towards you and he also, from his avatar info is from florida. i think is comment was directed towards the OP.

It wont happen in my backyard so that question is moot. Now if I lived in Florida I probably would'nt be very happy to see some fools escaped python in my yard.I have brought up the subject of invasives in Florida in a post of my own in this section and depending who responded, the python problem is not as big a problem as the stuffed suits and the sensationalist media would have us believe.I'm not one for the large snakes, never understood why people would even want to keep them and I probably would'nt be against the beaurocrats doing something about the keeping of certain large snakes but to outright ban every non native reptile is so knee jerk,if nothing has been done up to this point then I think anything put into effect after now will be pointless.BTW,that picture has been shown here before and you mention alligator attacks being up.Well that probably has something to do with their habitat being destroyed more than anything else, but that's another subject.

So true. Our problems here are deeper then the reptile police.

Did'nt know you had such a thing but if you do good for you..or them.

So,armed that piece of news we ban all reptiles, that could have happened in any other state it,it took place inside the man's home.

I was just pointing out that it does happen. That's all.

This was a case of an owner who couldn't control his pet. To say it's never ever been a factor was more false then what I mentioned.

Sorry to offend anyone.

There was a hint of sarcasm about the RP.
If there is an agency that can get state funds, you know they are going to take advantage of it. And that is a big part of this. They have to spend those stimulus $$$$$$$ somewhere.:grinno:

The child was killed by a snake, thats horrible and I'm not sure the owner should'nt be brought up on charges but that case has nothing to do with the ecology or the environment which is what you mentioned in the first place.
