This crab is a beast

I went to look at some cichlids today and happened to spot a fiddle crab in a tank. I asked about pricing because he was cute with his one big claw [don't worry he's in a tank with feeders not cichlids]. The guy told me that it was on the house, because he had just found it the other day crawling around the store. They hadn't carried them for 6 months, and he was covered in dust when he found him. The crazy little guy had to be surviving on stray cricket sin the store haha. :ROFL:Just thought it was interesting.
 
yeah luckily i made sure to make sure he had a place to ge out right away, bc he doesn't seem to want to be in the water unless he's eating. i suppose that's to be expected since he went 6 months without it haha.
 
although, i'm kind of afraid that he won't feed on the rosy reds i picked up, i got some pellets, but with him not having had a regulated diet for so long, i'm afraid for him to starve and avoid my food choices
 
thats just nuts.
thats like my teachers turantula. an 8th grader found it and freaked.we all thought sh had a heart attack. it is not a small spider:)
 
how good are they at climbing? would this piece of wood in my tank be enough land for them?
