Oscaroo we all have to start somewhere, we get that you are new to the hobby and you have to learn by doing, but when I starting fishkeeping I didn´t even have the internet just had lots of fishkeeping books and one huge encyclopedia. I would read it all the time and I always knew lots about fish I hadn´t even kept.
If you want to be a mature and responsible fish keeper do the research on your own, there is a whole world full of information out there, cichlid-forum.com has a great species list for african and american cichlids. People may be annoyed by you because you seem to ask a lot of amateur questions and there is nothing wrong with that, youre new to fish keeping. all I can suggest is try to find the answer yourself and only post a question on here if you are really stuck or need reassuring. thats what I do.
lastly, there are tons of cichlids out there for you that can fit in your current tanks that offer all you could ask for, colour, size, aggressiveness, breeding potential. I have been tempted by umbee and dovii many many times but even with my 225 gallon tank I wouldnt feel comfortable having one, incase all hell breaks loose. I didnt get a tank larger than a 75gallon until this year and even so i only have things like RD, Salvini etc in my tank.
also I know I said that I grew up without internet, I´m not some old guy im only 21 its just the internet didn´t really catch on til I was 13ish in europe.
Oscaroo if you have any problem or questions you can always message me and I´ll help you out.
