This fish needs your help! Beaten up

i like your setup alexander, what type of rocks are those? as for the branches - seems to work well when you boil them repeatedly for several times. this gets a lot of the tannins to come out.

Glad to hear your Hongi made it - next time, see if you can get the fish kept in separate bags if possible to prevent fighting (I've once had 2 male Greshakei in one bag - in the 30mins they were 'together', the bigger guy hurt the smaller guy REAL BAD).

Melafix & Pimafix are great preventive meds, as well as great 1st resource meds. Won't work for some serious cases, but it's my 1st resort. You should get them.

Neat tank BTW.

As to Bobby's fish - I've encountered cases similar to yours, but usually due to an 'accidental injury' such as 'hitting the rocks' (literally). I have a one-eye Electric Blue too.

Oh, and Malawi Hap can go crazy too ... my one-eye Electric Blue went crazy just over a week ago - was chasing my poor Oto Lithobates male all over the place (hiding places included!). He's now in 'detention' until I try putting him back again. (I think he's frustrated that the female Electric Blue isn't interested in him).

Alex, we can always send you some. I ship in my business, just pay the cost of shipping and the product (cheap) and I will send it to you (unless there are customs problems, I can check). Shipping is a probllem as far as cost. But if you are willing.... But go online and search for pond stores in europe.
