It's easy to tell its an Umbee. I have 3 young ones right now. The biggest is almost 2", its really nasty when it eats.

2". reckon he is, fingers crossed!! i've got another one as well that could be but not so sure. these 2 were more than twice the size of the others with them after a couple of weeks in the lfs so i took a chance. no one will go near them, seems even a 20" black aro and congicus know the danger these guys will be!!

From what I've read (from people who've grown out groups) the males actually start off as the smaller fish in groups of umbie.
