This is as sad as it gets right here

That's bad but I've seen worse. My church has a child center filled with aquariums and reptiles and they had a tank about the same size with 2 BTR's. They got rid of them as soon as I told them about how that tank wasn't suitable for the smallest species of shark. Never saw a shark there again.
I wonder how they came to have the BTR as they are not exactly cheap to buy and what became of them?

My church has a lot of money cuz our pastor is really well known, Rick Warren. BTR's are pretty readily available here. I have no clue what they did with them though. The person in charge if caring for them said she came in 1 day and they were gone

Interesting.

Cheap and quality are two very different things when it comes to BTRs. I've seen them wholesale as cheap as $250. Shipping costs more, but they usually show up dead or near dead.

That tank is hard to see. I feel bad for the shark.

Wow never heard of them being 250 bucks, but like you said if they are near dead or dead then it obviously isn't worth it. And it is difficult to see the tank but you can get the idea that it isn't much bigger than 120-180 gallons

Wow, that's terrible. The tank looked like a 55 gallon -- at most. The shark also had a Remora with it too. I am at a loss for words on this one.
