THIS IS FOR ALL THE TALL-TANK MFK'S

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think I'm going to have to stand on my platform with my long handled carwash brush to clean the front wall--or get in with the fish. I understand what you're saying about a feeding hole in the front. For us, it would defeat the "framed in tank" look we're going for.

Is there a build thread for this I should be subscribed to?

Is this a 10g base that is double high? I had a tank like that growing up, it was 10g L x W but twice the height, I wish I had that tank still, it was pretty cool for gourami.

Yes! :)

We had the tank built for us. DIY part is the addition to house the tank. Had no idea this project would take so long (we are now in year three). In my zeal for our project, I started several threads on the insane filtration, the 3 1/2" tubular steel stand, the tank....several years ago :( Will do a thread of the total project when it is completely finished. We've just had a 4 month hiatus as we figured out whether to pursue a 3D background. We are now getting armed and ready to tackle that project. Here's the stuff that arrived this week:

I seriously NEED you to do a build thread! I would follow it intently.. Don't forget when you using the pond foam to be careful not to use too much. It will destroy itself floating too hard if it's too thick ;)

Will mostly use the Pond Foam to bulk up my PVC pipes as we convert our mechanical plumbing into trees for an underwater forest. Polygem will actually be the star performer.

I will do a thread on this--if we are able to pull it off. We'll give it our best effort, anyway... Yesterday Universal Rocks shipped out the large polyurea sheets that we will making the 3D backgrounds on. If we're happy with our backgrounds, I will definitely be hitting you up for installation advice!
