This is funny but i would hate to be this poor car salesman..................

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i thought it might be fake too.. just simply that how would they know that car would be able to stand up through that driving...... how did they know the man would not have heart attack.. he was the right age and weight etc..... so he could be an actor...... but one way or the other that is some driving skill.

Oh the car could handle it. As for the man it's possible he was an actor but what got me was when he said he was going to call the cops and was shocked when Jeff revealed himself plus at the end he asked if they could go again.

Wouldn't they have asked Jeff for a liceanse before he toke the car out for a test drive.

good catch ... but fake ID is almost certain....:)

Vid is fake. First off do you think that can-cam would of kept the shot with him driving like that? Second how would the salesman not of noticed the large man messing with the car along with his own personal cameraman. Jeffs mustache was also halfway hanging off.

As for test driving without ID, I have never been asked to show it for a test drive.

Staged.
CONCORD, N.C. - Pepsi has unveiled the video it shot at Troutman Motors and Philip Morris here in Concord in February.
The video, which is promoting Pepsi Max, features NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon in disguise taking a test drive of a new Camaro.

Gordon takes the salesman for a wild ride through the Troutman Motors lot, into Philip Morris, including racing along the top of a loading dock.
Racer Brad Noffsinger, who works with the Richard Petty Driving Experience, did the stunt work for the production.
The video was produced by Gifted You, a division of Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die company. About 75 people were employed during the shooting of the video.

It was staged. Some of the driving was even done by a stunt man.

I believe the stages part but stunt man no! Jeff is a pro racer you really think he can't drive like that plus what he was donig wasn't all that extreme.

The can can is in a cup holder. I don't think it would've moved even with all the driving.

I know when I was test driving cars in fl with my dad they asked both of us for our licenses.

I disagree on the skilled driving but that's just me saying it watching this a few times. The slides were not that good at all, from someone that has been around drifting at all its not that great, but he is more use to strait lines.

The vid was nothing but awesomeness! Ruined it for me a bit seeing the claims that it was staged, got me wondering now. :( It had reminded me of test drive in a Stang where my father scared the heck out of me and a female car salesman. If any of you are NYers and know the Ford dealership on Central Avenue you should know how narrow, twisty and hilly those back roads can be. I was looking around for a new car and had just finished test driving the 2010 Mustang GT and wanted my fathers opinion on it. So he said he'd need to drive it for himself, mind you he's 65. So we headed back out with the saleswoman in the front and me in the rear. Despite the rain my father pushed the car to it's limits the whole time, zipped through the curves at speeds I wouldn't dare especially on a wet road and pulled an E-brake 180 twice the whole time me and the saleswoman where passing bricks. In a situation like that she only managed to mutter weakly please let me out we've got your license so I'll trust you to come back. The rest of the time both she and I where to busy clutching anything we could in the car and clenching our teeth to say anything. Funny thing was after we stopped I was so amped despite being scared out of my wits(don't know if it's because I was so grateful to be alive) and so was she. She laughed hard when we got out still trembling and said "and to think I thought if I had to worry about anyone it would've been you not your father". When I asked my father why he did it he dryly said it's a sport car your buying it for it's performance so you should push it to get an idea of it's limits otherwise how do you know a sports cars worth buying.
