It's a cooler. It is as insulated or better as your average shipping box I think. Styrofoam in between plastic walls. If worried, can enclose a heat pack in a water tight, plastic container (a bag might get punctured). If still worried, wrap it in glass wool and place the cooler inside a shipping cardbox.

Your right heat them up once recieved them.

I meant heat the silicone up in order to open the cover.

Curing silicone gives off a lot of acetic acid, which I'm afraid may affect the little water and ambient inside the cooler. Hence, I thought that using a soldering tool to melt and fuse the cover to the cooler may be safer.

I was thinking screw the silicone and syring wrap the whole cooler.

Google doesn't know what this is. Whatever this is, I'd think it should be water tight, so the water does not sip out if the cooler ends up on a side of upside down. Big dats are too special to risk.
