I can't believe people actually do this to fish. When ever I go to places that sell dyed fish whether it be walmart or a lfs I complain... I tell them its a horrid practice and they shouldn't carry those fish. But unfortunately stupid people think its cute or cool and buy them.

i know its sick guys.. but WHY are they doing it?
its simple.. NOOBS go into a lfs and look around
after a couple of rounds " WOW look at that fish Mommy.. it has pink in it"
see... there is a market for them.
Here in Toronto we have more dyed fish than we have common plecos LMAO
the simple thing to do is spread info around and stop it!
personally i know these fish have a short lifespan and go through alot of pain when this is done to them..
+ immune systems are compromised

1 LFS here once displayed some dyed parrots.i go there atleast 3 times a weak and i have witnessed those parrots as they deteriorate and got sick until one by one died.the manager complained thinking parrots were sick prone.i explained that it's because of the dye.amazingly,he thought that they're natural colors!..anyways,they never bought dyed parrots again.
