Im guessing he is under fed. Aggression in my book is visible when chasing tankmates or territorial towards his spot.
I am just guessing but a 5" Poly is an easy target as they are not girthy

He is nowhere near underfed....he eats like a pig till he is bloated. I try to put enough food in for everyone and he definitely eats the most. When he gets all bloated I try to skip a feeding to keep him from overeating. He has never chased tank-mates or got territorial.

I guess as he's getting bigger he's just getting more aggressive. I moved him to another tank with some larger silver dollars and he's chasing them if they come anywhere near him.

Just be glad that you have a predator of a black wolf..

I've kept mine with a clown knife that was 1/3 of the size of the curupira, I miss that guy.

I agree. Was gonna say seems more like a predatory response than an aggressive one. You'll probably be ok with properly sized tank mates.
