urchin spines have the nasty habit of deteoreorating while inside of your flesh so they *****es to get out.

Accidentally put my hand on a longspine urchin in trang Thailand about a year ago.... Not cool, 10 nice little wounds just like yours.... Not much you can do but keep it cold with a few beers, I'll be avoiding that experience ever again, intense pain lasted about an hour, dull throbbing pain lasted about a six pack lol...

once I was hit by a rogue wave and it threw me right on top of a two and a half foot long jellyfish. I thought glass or nails had just ran through my chest and abdomen. I had a mole on my chest that turned black and fell off as a result of the sting. It also gave me fever and other side effects.

I got stung by a stingray in Mexico a few years ago. The barb hit a vein in my wrist but didn't get stuck. I bleed profusely for a while but the pain was much worse. It lasted about 6hrs and felt like a burning, throbbing, stabbing pain that came and went every few seconds. Weirdest pain I've ever felt not agonizing pain but it lasted so long it was a terrible experience. Also got a nice golfball size swelling in my wrist for about 3 weeks.
