Yeah yeah yeah... Ps get an undeserved bad wrap, yeah this is a stupid rule...

You know whats not stupid? The protection of floridas natural eco system...which will be disrupted by ANY introduced specie. Not just Ps and not because they're bad.

Get your head on straight people. Yes its bad Ps get a bad name. NOOOOOOO its not bad to protect NATURE... you know nature? Where all our wet pets came from in the first place?

I live in Fl and have personally seen peacock bass, oscars, and even goldfish just-a-swimin in our waterways...heck I have caught gibbiceps on a fishing line!

So either get over it or start telling your buddies to quit dumping there pets in the creek...

As for washington state, I know the game department gave those answers, but I remember back when they were legal ...

... until a red bellied pacu was caught in Green Lake in Seattle in the early 90's. That same spring is when the ban went into effect.

Amazing how fast lawmakers can move sometimes wot?

I have nothing against what these Feds do with the fishes their making into the laws as a prohibited and restricted fish to own and be in the following States....but its just a very low thing to have us responsible fish keepers who knows what we do and how to care for the fishes not be able to take care and observe these magnificient fishes be blocked away from us till this ban is lifted...:( but what can we do about this...their seems to be no other options for us to take according to the actions may be to us keepers...:nilly: They could have atleast handed out personal I.D. for keepers to hold onto to keep and grow in an illegal state with the Feds and other higher authority to tag them all illegal fishes and where every the fishes are being kept they'll be on the radar or something they use to track the where abouts of the fishes they allowed to behold to those fish keeper who recieved the species of fish...and if the Fish and Game and other Wildlife specialist can come by the house or whatever facility you will be housing them in to be check up on to such at what interest they got to that fish they given authorizations to be kept in a illegal state...Even then....if they spot the fish released into another body of water which its not suppose to be in...the Feds or other govermental agents or somewhat specialist can give and fine to that person who was holding the fish and or ban him from buying any fishes again or even arrest those bad guys who just loves ruining our love of fish by they irresponsible actions that they were stupid enough to notice that their making many of us in that state to not me able to enjoy the fish.:irked: All we could do is :banhim::banher: those who uphold their truth should be given the opportunity to keep them...but i guess all we could ever do in the illegal states with fishes restricted from us is wait for the ban to be lifted if it were to ever happen for us...if we ever even get lucky with it...:( but even though those awesome fishes are banned from us we still have many amazing fishes that aren't banned from us so atleast we all should appreciate those we can obtain in the state we all live in.

its alright if you guys would like to point me out wrong as im just saying what is from my opinion towards this residential crisis for states...that those who don't do the right thing and release none native fishes into native waters...get a life! We Monster Fish Keepers....are going to uphold our residual title and be trustful to what laws are given out to every personal fish hobbiest....If by any chance Mods/ Administrators and other high authority of the site please notify me about my words are to abstruct and not authorize...so please tell me if these words may get me banned...as i wish to not be banned so yeah...Thank You MFK for your respected time to read through what i have to say about these laws and prospected evil do-ers in our world...

the madia does overhype just about everything. i have those 'man eaters' and the reputation is verry un-warranted. i dont believe banning the fish in warmwater states is a reasonable answer, but, illegal IS illegal. even if it is a retarted law

they banned some measely fishes but i know if entered into a unknown water source where a group of native fishes could be inhabiting currently could cause major crisis with the wildlife in the waters....but some Feds and other high reps....don't target the more major facts of those cases of mass murdering, man slaughter, Gun Battle, Hostages, and other main horrors that can happen anywhere in our country and other places in the world...yet they seem more scared of some little fishes. Im not saying this whole law making thing is such a major issue just pointing out some of the opinion of mines of what these laws for fishes are so corrupt in a matter of something irresponsible. But still laws are laws...theirs nothing us city and regular folks do anything about it...=[

I know its bad to dump your fish in local waterways and I would never do it, but if I lived in FL I would have my white assssss out there fishing everyday. You could catch some awesome fish and they wont cost you a thing and since it is illegal to release them you could either keep them or take them in for store credit. You would also be helping a little with each non-native fish you take out of the water.
