i am gonna stay neutral.

however when i joined up i loved the "freedom" of this site. it has grown alot since then, and unfortunately rules that may have been in effect before, but didn't get enforced. now has to be considering the size this site has grown too.

i like being able to say what i want and feel on here, and not get PM's from mods giving me ****, or all of sudden blam banned... like most other sites out there.

besides i thought that's y AC was around for. G-rated forum for fishkeepers. not for crazy, insane, fishfreaks like me that LOVE MFK!!!!!

Why would anyone let a 6 yrs old go online unattended? All you have to do is complain to admin and they'll take appropriate action to have that user remove the avatar. This forum is not for sissies so if you have a bruised ego then maybe you should try other forums like angelfish forums that has a bunch of fish nerds.

Intentionally pushing the limits is a good way to have a vacation.

There is a thread already up. There is no discussion. Avatars need to be family oriented. End of story.

This forum, and this debate, is not about freedom of speech or even censorship.
This is about providing access to as many members as possible, includiong new fishkeepers and those who want a family suitable site that they feel that their children can visit.
Avatars in general, no matter how graphic or lame don't bother me but I understand why others are concerned.
The problem is that people tend to push the envelope, it starts with art such as Vallejo, Vargas, or even Dali, then because that was passed we end up with salicious soft core, and the even hard porn. This is not a theory, it has happened before resulting in someone getting banned, they then reregistered under a false name and spammed the site with *** hardcore, violating several laws regarding distribution of pornography to minors. It was a pain to straighten out.
This is the reason for our rules.
If this "infringement" on your "Freedom of Speech" is to onerous for you to tolerate then it is time to either re-evaluate why you are here, or find another site.
