This should be a crime

That is so disconcerting. It takes forever for the reefs to replicate and most people are aware of this but still choose to fuel the market. I hate the whole mentality of "Well its already been killed might as well buy it, it doesn't make a difference".

Apathy is the real problem. Even if everyone knows the problem, if they don't care, its going to continue. Reefs are only one aspect of things being destroyed for a buck.

It is a crime, all of the shells and corals you see now are man made, there is a company here in Brownsville that maufactures all the corals and shell you can buy.

If that picture is not in the US they may be real corals, if not they are man made.........a shame people jump to conclusions in their mission of mercy.

You working for the government yet?

Incredible knowledge demonstrated here people!!!!

I am thinking about starting a non profit organization to combat reef loss, I need a pilot. Anybody know one?

it's a crime in the U.S. (and the territories), the great barrier reef in austrailia, and quite a few other areas actually. I persoanlly don't like the look and prefer them live.

Too many people view coral as a plant and not a living breathing creature. Should be stopped!

And all this time, I thought plants were living too.
