Welcome to MFK. Yes, this site is very useless and can be a influence to make your collection grow. I did not know there were so many species of bichirs until I landed on this site.

ya just joined last year for pete sake and allot people had bigger tanks then a 75 last year including me you make it seem like you been here since day one 34 years ago...

Lol, Same with me. I love MFK. I thought I was one of the best with my 225g and 20" arowana. Now I know that really itsnt all that compared to some of these keepers. Anyhow fishkeeping is worse then crack, welcome to the addiction.

Years ago I had a large red Oscar in a 55g but after he died I didn't really have the time or money to get new fish so I drifted out of the hobby. Recently I came across a Senegal Bichir in a Lfs and decided to start again. In my research I found MFK and now I want so many other fish! seeing others collections makes me really jealous and all I can think about is how much of the space in my house can I give over to tanks...... So thanks MFK! For providing tons of useful info and making me into the fiend I was meant to be.

Yep, it's addicting. I stumbled into here looking for DIY filters for my Dad's 125g. I've been here for about a year now and have learned so much. I still have zero aquariums up and running, but I feel much better about being an educated and successful fishkeeper.

Be very careful, too much time on this site will lead to the much dredded disease MTS (multiple tank syndrome) which left untreated will rapidly progress to MMTS (Multiple ]V[onster tank syndrome) I'm a classic example. 2 years ago I had a 10 gallon, now I have 2x10's, 4x20's, 1x30, 1x72, 1x75, 1x125 and a 300 on the way!
