It should have no effect at all. You could still do a 10 to 20% water change with no effect on the eggs. With no change in osmotic pressure and unless you have altered your water chemistry it will be no big deal for parents or eggs.

IME-Eggs or fry = water change, water change, water change. I keep even cleaner water when my fish spawn than I normally do. I didn't know that's a no-no.

Careful, the guarding parents can take out your predator's eye. I lost a 13-14 Jag that way. He lost his eye and his head swelled up like a big pink nasty softball. :yuck:
