They are meeki. As mentioned meeki's colors can vary depending on where collected. They can have more blue w/ less red, more intense red and less blue, more orange than red, and males can get some really nice trailers. Also some could be a mix of color combos since they are mostly likely tank raised. They look really nice!

Thanks I am very pleased with them. I saw one at the same store the other week that had orange all around its lips and on its face, probably going to give way to a stunning adult with a lot of color, I may pick it up to add with my 2 after I get paid. They are in a 120g anyway so its not like space is limited to grow them out. I never realized there was so much variation in the species

I would get more too. Meeki do best in groups and a lot of fun to watch with all the gill flaring going on. Other thorichthys don't have as much personality IME.

Why do you say "helleri meeki"? They are two very different sp., and helleri look very different than these fish.
