So just over 10 days after my Maculipinnis pair spawned the last of the fry have disappeared. Despite both parents doing a really good job at protecting the fry it was quite a small batch and their numbers dwindled as the days went by. After the fry became free swimming the male had a lot more involvement and it was really interesting watching both parents take it in turns to protect the fry, look for food or chase off the other tank mates. I’m hoping they will spawn a again And hopefully I will have ,y 3’ 35 gallon tank set up for growing a few out. Anyway, I thought I’d share some photos and video of what’s been going on over the last week or so.
