Most of my polys like pellets and I currently feed the following mix of pellets:
Hikari Sinking Carnivore
Hikari Massivore
NLS Algaemax mini wafers
Northfin Jumbo 6mm

Of course this does not count the floating pellets that the endli will go up and eat, lol

I am currently looking for some less messy (and less stinky) foods. So I may also consider starting to feed the following:
Northfin Carnivore (to replace the Massivore which stinks up the water)
Xtreme Monster (might replace the sinking carnivore with this or stick with Northfin 6mm)

So just curious what everyone else is feeding....

Massivore, Tilapia, Earthworms, the cheap shrimp based pellets for bottom feeders(meant for my plecos but they snag em too)store brand stuff from pet smart/jacks

Oddly enough the tilapia is the cleanest and least stinky just cut it small while frozen let sit about 5 min and dump it in. Always gone by morning and water doesnt stink.
Earthworms I am too busy to purge most of the time so they can be messy. your familiar with massivore and the shrimp pellets are negligable

Hikari Gold Floating Pellets. Medium and small sizes. Some of my polys will go up to snack. I chose floaters due to them eventually sinking if uneaten. They're for my apollo sharks, chalceus, and distichodus. I have found this to be a clean pellet after it breaks apart. If my 6 bar distichodus doesn't eat the remaining left overs. There is an odor, but for me it's tolerable.

Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 , Have you tried the Hikari gold sinkers? And as to the stink... Ive never had any other foods besides the carnivore formulas of Hikari smell up my tank like that.

I've used both types. Don't like using sinkers in my case, but bichirs do eat it. Only because they're intended for the top swimmers.

Ingredient make up for the Hikari product line is relatively the same I beleive. Therefore, you may not be fond of the smell. It's similar to massivore but not as strong imo.

For me Im looking at a lot of factors and cost is not the main one so brands like Northfin, Dainichi or other 'high end' stuff does not bother me.

One of the biggest issues is the stench of the massivore. I put in six massivore pellets and some sinking carnivore and the water stank. So this is the reason I started this up, to see what you guys use.

I only use hikari sinking pellets as a threat, i like DMD123 DMD123 mentioned make my water cloudy and it makes it smell. Mostly i used is tilapia. Looking forward what other people will input on this thread so i can learn other pellets that will work.

Sorry DMD123 DMD123 not much help.:(

I stick mostly with the Hikari line with a strong emphasis on Massivore.I'm aware that there are other good brands available but this stuff has done well by my fish over the years.

Same here, staple is Massivore follow by fresh and frozen foods (night crawlers, smelt, beef heart and prawns)

Similar style here, just reversed. I've always done my "bulk feeding" with seafood; shrimp, tilapia, etc and finish up with Massivore. Much better to load them up on sub $10/lb seafood versus ~$25/lb massivore.

NLS foods are very good, but for some reason I've never had fish get super excited for it. I think the pellets themselves are much harder and less palatable.
