Thought I'd share pictures of my new native 40B

My SO was a bit disappointed that I was going all native with this tank (he thinks they look a bit drab) so I upgraded my 10g tropical tank to a 20L for him. LOL That way he can have plenty of color to look at.

Kinda funny story: I was down at the river with my fishing license, a small net and a 5 gallon bucket to see what minnows I could find. There was an old guy there, and another guy with his kid. All three of them were giving me odd looks the whole time I was there (I guess a girl in jeans, rubber boots and a hoodie with a net is kinda out of place amongst fisherman). The father asked what I was doing, and when I said about my native tank, his response was 'Why would you want to do that?" LOL

People always give me funny looks when they see me out catching natives for my tank. It;s pretty funny.

Have you thought of trying a coldwater darter tank for your SO, some of them are very colorfull. Lol...yeah I get the same looks while fish collecting.....even from my family.

I LOVE IT!!! Especially the Amazing piece of driftwood on the left and I am definately a branch fam too. The rocks are a very nice touch.

Hmm, hadn't thought of darters really even though I've drooled over some of the more colorful ones. LOL I had swamp darters before, and both of us really liked them.

Maybe once I get another tank, I'll do just darters for both of us. More tanks? Oh, the things I could do with more (and bigger tanks)! LOL

One step at a time. My Bluegill are the excuse to upgrade to something bordering on monster - 90+ gallons.
