I don't know Ming. The 3"s I got last month are now pushing 4"s, but I have them in the 330 with lots of current and flow. think that might help?

i'll be getting (3) 2.5" NGT dats in the next few days. I plan to put them in a small 30 gal grow out tank till they are big enough to go into my dat tank; I also have a 4" ornate bichir that i plan to put in the same grow out tank. you think they would all be okay. What's the temperment of bichirs would they be aggresive towards my new NGT's???? need some feedback peeps.

i think the bichirs would outgrow the NGT's. But also I think the NGT could hold their own.

I've lost everything to my Ornate B. He's (could be a her) now 10"+ and just swallowed a 5" Heujeta.
At 8" he had x3 3.5" silver sharks and a 5" silver Aro. I got him at 3.5" and he was soon eating Boesemans and my shrimps ,then x3 corys. + x3 bristlenoses 1 gone 2 just chewed up. The fish is a characture but I rarely see it swimming about .It gets on with an armoured cat but had quite a go at it on introduction.I put a 4" electric cat in to teach it a lesson and it got sucked up my out pipe the same night !
I'm now looking for companions though tempted to get rid of it.
I think one dark night your Ornate will eventualy have the Dat!
Ornates appear the best looking Bichirs but I wish I'd gone for another.
