Our LFS supply/selection of discus is very limited. I have not found a local club/breeder to work with as I have with my reef tank. So I am turning to the web. As I am researching on-line discus sites, there are a few that I am looking at seriously as we begin to stock our tank. Something Phisy officially scares me, but I was wondering what everyone's take on/experience with Discus Madness was.

Thanks.

Hi Trina.. I'm not from your area but have you tried the local clubs. Also besides the marketplace here. If you are not familiar with it there is a site called SimplyDiscus that specializes in discus with a lot of expertise and they have loads of wonderful sponsers that are breeders and a thread gives lots of feedback on them.. I know there are several in your area.. Check it out.. it's free and I believe every discus keeper should belong to several great forums like MFK so they get the most info possible. Good luck with your tank Sue:D

i've purchased 7 from them and haven't had any issues. I bought them from the showroom so I was able to pick them out. I would suggest picking up general cure and treating them regardless of where you get them. No reason to assume they are stressed from the move just to find out they are stressed from gill flukes or something else.

Ironiclly enough I found them right after posting here! Thanks! I found a few in the Chicago area - so that is always close enough. a 2 hour car ride that allows me to pick out healthy fish is definitely worth the trip.

Thanks again!
