Thoughts on Fancy Goldfish

I agree with you divemaster, the bubble eye and celestials for example, just seem weird.
again, everyone has their likes/dislikes I don't know why this thread is made in first place. Personally I think albino Oscars are ugliest fish I ever seen.

Yes, everyone does have their own taste and I can agree with that statement, but that doesn't give us the right to purposely create and continue to breed genetically weak and defective animals. Don't you think one of those fancy bubble eyes with two tails that has to jerk around to stay off the bottom of the tank would be much happier as a normal goldfish which could swim around with ease and easily compete with other tankmates for food?

I never really cared for goldfish much. I don't see a problem with them though.

I really don't like those balloon eyed creatures though. They look like something you'd find in a mad scientist's lab and it would be wasting away on a table quietly whimpering "kill me"

I dunno I don't really care, I don't like em so I don't buy em

This thread was created, at least I think, to discuss the fact that these fish cannot possibly be comfortable living with the defects purposely bred into the gene pool. Whether you like or dislike the fish itself isn't the issue here. My personal view is that I think its rather outrageous how people line breed all species of animals for the wow factor and not the longevity or quality of life (but hey, that's what money does in today's world). Personally I find goldfish boring, genetically altered or not, and wouldn't own one (sorry redearsunfish haha). It will never stop however no matter how many campaigns are launched or however many crazy Asian breeding ponds are drained.

More goldfish for me. No problem. :)

The thought of disliking Fancy Goldfish is akin to building a really nice chair, then smashing it with an ugly chair, then building a chair with all the smashed bits, then smashing that chair with a chair you neither like not dislike, then yelling at a glass of water.

The thought of disliking Fancy Goldfish is akin to stomping on fresh flowers and pooping in a really nice hat.
hahahaha...that was singlehandedly the reason everyone at my office probably thinks I'm insane for laughing at the computer screen
