Thoughts on Fancy Goldfish

somehow I don't believe it's like hair or nails

I need an answer from a marine physiologist who's expertise is with fish

Dude, are you serious? I've cut wen. It does not bleed.

i'm very serious

not visibly seeing blood with your human eye doesn't necessarily mean there was no bleeding. and you don't know if it hurts or irritates them or not. unless you talk to your fish and they tell you. in that case I really wouldn't trust your input

somehow I don't think you are a marine physiologist who's expertise is with fish so I will hold out until one comes along and can give me a more educated answer

The "dear reader" was for others reading this thread. :)

I've seen oddball post about cutting the wen. He made it seem harmless when done properly

all fish keepers and fish lovers make procedures like these seem harmless

and they very well could be but I don't assume to know if it truly doesn't harm them or not. if it does harm them i'm sure it's very little and they fully recover

but I just don't want someone telling me those crater-like growths are like hair and nails when they are flesh, unless they actually are speaking from an educated background in the matter
