It seems that thrash, has really been put by the wayside by this emo stuff, but if you look at bands that started out as emo are leaning towards the thrash like stuff from the 80's. Trivium seems to be leaning that way also bullet for my valentine. If you dont mind the mystical topics of their songs dragonforce is a great band. Thrash will make a comeback you just have to wait.

for me it never left but i still listen to my 80 and 90 stuff all the time,lol.

Jason. I am into the whole non religion bashing thing .. although there just aren't many.. or any bands that iI know of that are metal and arent bashing a religion.

Try Vintersorg or Borknagar.. not thrash metal but not bashing either.. Its good metal based on the science of life
