thread for banned members

since being banned from this site seems to be an epidemic............why not have a thread which lists which members are banned for how long and the reason.

this would cut off the idle speculation and keep the membership informed

Why is there a need to be fully informed about the corrective actions? Does it really hurt not to know why someone was banned? I understand some are merely curious but what does it have to do with your membership? Being a member here is a privilege, not a right therefore a member has no right to demand or ask information that does not concern him.

The moderators have the right to decide whether corrective actions are to be discussed publicly or not. Whatever happened between the banned members and moderators is none of our business. Period.

Oh? I always thought infraction lists were public as well... You wouldn't have to have specific reasons, just a vague one so we know why. For instance, we know santoury was banned for soliciting SH within the US. I know a few of us are still wondering why midnight is gone- I was off the boards for several months so I wasn't around when it happened and still don't know why. I'm sure there's great justification for it, but he did post many useful DIY guides.

maybe some of us had a fish deal going with someone or was just good online fish friends and just wanted to know when they would be allowed back?No need for the reasons just if they are coming back or when?

dont get jumpy...... its just an idea.....every time someone gets banned its starts threads.......pm's of speculation and a ton of off board email........

if public disclosure is not in the best interest of MFK dont post it.... but it might save a lot of destructive gossip
