they are only visble to mods and admin. If you have an infraction(s) than you'll know. it's a tab in your profile once you earn them.

no i cant..... hmmm.... perhaps i retract my statement, i assumed others can see my profile exactly as i see it, and i see that da#m infraction on my profile.

personally i dont care why other people were banned... takes alot to get banned so if you get banned you deserve it... also if its such a good fish friend on here then you should have other means to contact them... seriously its really none of our biz... consider it like your job your boss doesnt have to tell you why the fired a coworker, same applies here... and you can get ahold of admin if banned Webmaster@monsterfishkeepers.com is the email i think...

If you don't want to get banned, follow the rules. If you don't want your friends to get banned, encourage them not to be bastards.

I think if you post the reasons it might keep some of us from making the same mistakes.

If you want a list of rules, go to the terms of service agreement you agreed to follow when you signed up.

How about avenues for banned members to either redeem themselves or at least contact the administration team?

I was temporarily banned for a ridiculous reason and had to sign up multiple alternate accounts just to contact moderators and administrators to dispute just how ridiculous the reason was, which is the only reason I'm back here. You cannot email mods/admins without being a member, there is no way to put in a dispute ticket or get in contact on the forums in any way whatsoever without signing back up, which is so commonly announced as grounds for a permanent ban.

As another example, my roommates account, who has been a MFK member for at least 6 months longer than I have, had all of his posts deleted and was banned because he was (obviously) running the same IP as me. I have PM'd administrators to try and remove the ban but have had no reply. What gives?

Also, as far as I've been told, moderators have the power to ban members, but not unban them, which is fine and dandy when you want to get rid of a bot or spammer, but not when you've made a mistake and need to correct it.

You were banned for trolling, and after NUMEROUS warnings. You aren't back because you whined, you are back because your ban term had been served.

Druu - Actually, the mods that can issue a ban can also revoke a ban.
