The news of his death shocked the world. For a man who made a silly little show, he was universally loved. RIP Mr. Irwin. Your show, humor, life and love of animals and nature will be missed and never duplicated.

My deepest condolences to the Irwin family...no doubt the world has lost a true pioneer in the animal world, however you have lost a very unique loved one. He ment the world to most of us in the way that he brought the meanest nastiest ugliest animals in the world to a loving caring light. He showed us that they are beautiful creatures of God, not to be misunderstood, but to be understood in their habitat. We will sure miss him and do hope you will see a way to carry on his ways...RIP Steve, you are the greatest friend to the animals and people alike...

Great guy, loved the show I will miss him greatly. I hope the rest of the crew will carry on his passion and possibly the show. Best wishes Tom North Pekin Illinois.

i will really miss him and that all too familiar aussie accent of his. my condolences to terri, bindi and bob. i have spent the last few years watching him regularly in discovery channel and gained from him much knowledge on wildlife. but perhaps the greatest legacy he left for us apart from his kids and projects for wild animals is his ever important message for wildlife respect and conservation.....

i pray for you and your family constantly....

Dear Steve...
you've made tremendous impact to the world..not only to the animals, but also to many many people around the globe. Not only did you bring about greater awareness for conservation and wildlife, but ulimately, your biggest gift to all of us is a lesson of selfless love. A great love for all creatures of the Earth and the people around us which is so evident in you.

To Terri, Bindi, Bob, Steve's parents and all at Australia Zoo,
It's difficult to lose such a great character in your life, but take solace and pride in the fact that he died doing what he loved. You must be proud of having been part of the life of this great man who was a great environmentalist, tv-star, wonderful husband, father and son, and great friend to us all rolled into one. He was a happy character, full of life and hope, and I am sure that is the way that he would want all his dear ones to continue living on. Cherish the fond memories of him and use his love as the strength to carry on with life and the work he has left behind.

Finally to Steve again, the world was fortunate to have you and you will forever be part of us and the world as your legacy lives on. Croc rules and you too.

Everything you can say about a man has already been said.

All I can add is that I also will greatly miss this wonderful man, who loved nature as much as anyone I have ever seen.

May the family of Steve Irwin know that you are in our prayers.

(CRIKy!)You will be not forgotten, you will be apericiated steve Irwin.:rip

To Steve's family I wanted to extend my deepest regrets on your loss of a husband and father. It is always a shame when someone so young is taken from this life so unexpectedly and though no one life should be put above another I can not help but to feel that the world will not be the same without him. The work that Steve did will not be forgotten. The Crocodile Hunter will live for ever in the hearts of all people who who love animals and love life. I hope that this tragedy will not prevent you from continuing on with his work, and that through that work you will never forget who he was to the world.

I have not said anything here that a million others have not said or thought already and there is no way that you could ever read all the letters or emails that are going to be sent your way but maybe the overwelming numbers will show you how Steve truely did have an effect on the entire planet. God bless.

RIP
