my tank 15gallon ( 13gallon useful ) stays at around 5-7ppm i do a water change once a week to keep it at around this. ( 30% a week )

Yeah, I do two 15% a week. Maybe it's just not enough at once, or maybe I need a bigger clean up crew. I have a bad habit of snatching whatever bristleworm I see with the eyedropper thing I use to feed my coral. Right now I only have some coral and three teeny hermits, but I'll be by the LFS today to get at least one peppermint shrimp and some snails. Maybe that will help some.
