sounds like humans, when the wife gives birth, most times she grows alot...
read that breeding takes place around 2 years old.... guess i may have to upgrade my tank in another year lol
Hahha I guess you right.. except I don't think she will go back to her pre birth size!
I suppose with rays.... an upgrade is always in the pipeline..
as you know, i have 5 currently... my intention was only a pair but i was given too good an offer for the other 3..... guess will consider if to sell after a year or do an upgrade....
the breeder offered me another piece of hybrid... but i have no more space.... argh!!

I still want a pair of Boesmani with a sore heart even if I must upgrade...but we haven't been able to source any so far.. maybe one day
Nope...boesemanis are a different species...much more expensive, and in my opinion far better looking than a pearl! Totally different temperament as well. Boes are kinda hyper and aggressive

says, no.. they not the same as pearls... they are different and absolutely stunning ....A pure Boesmani is in a class of its own
They are expensive and not readily available to us at this stage
Most of our fish are being imported from Asia and it looks like they dont take a big interest in them (or so we are told)
Maybe they too busy hybridizing the black diamonds..
But i have hope hat one day we will be able to get a pair
