X2.

I do feel bad for the fish though. If you look through some of his photos he's got a bunch of natives in with a butti, GT's, and a ton of pikes. All in what seems to be a 90 gallon?

I just can't understand dropping the money for the nice pikes and not housing them decently.

which according to his post, he's lost quite a few pikes recently. not very wise fish keeping :screwy:

i have but one wasnt my fault but i kinda let my "big head" die and it was my fault that he even got sick in the first place.I hand fed him a died geo that had got some type of fugus, now that was a really a stupid move. When i noticed "big head" acting funny i had to many side jobs to take out the time to cure him.I miss him dearly, from wat i see on the site he was pretty RARE

Real surinamensis are about as rare as beani were about a year ago. They are more then likely G. altifrons or something simular out of Brazil. G. surinamensis are collected only in a few selected spots outside Brazil in French Guiana and Suriname but I'm not sure if anybody besides a few Europeans have collected there in the past decate since it is really hard to get a collecting permit and export anything out of those countries.

Cichlid Fiend.... you were so enlightened by your education on this post that you decided to share your extreme wealthy of knowledge about Geos (a.k.a "Eartheaters" per you)..... in agreeing with Reiner about "Real Surinamensis"..... Where did you get this wealth of knowledge? Was it just after your Red Tiger Mota slaughtered your "Geo" or was it the Grammode?

Maybe Japes, Balton and StraightJacket would be amused by your sudden wealth of knowledge of "Geo's".... :screwy:

its not my fault my man made a good point and at the same time said he thinks ur wrong

SUCKER get off my back, all i did was agree. You seem like the type of dude that got chased home everyday from school. I dont have anymore to say to you or ur cheerleaders

"lost cause" lol!!!!!!!!!!!

i learn alot from yall, but just like koby is a very good basketball player, i wouldnt hang out with him. just not my type of person

let it go u didnt have nothing to do with it and me either for real ur man came at me for no reason cause somebody that knew wat he was talking about proved him wrong and he jumps on me.

Though I probably wouldnt have been quite as harsh as japes, ive agreed with everything he has said so far.

age is no excuse, i started joining forums when i was 12 (now 16)

so, if you are new to the whole fish thing and still learning (as all of us are really), why not listen to someone more experienced then yourself? i can't really say i see your stance on the visual learner aspect of this, if someone tells you a fish is going to kill the other, do you really have to test it? or even better, take the warning and go do a bunch of research, that way you have really learned it. It was inevitable that one of your Centrals was to kill the S. Leucosticta, anyone who has done research would know this.

You need to understand japes side of this, most people on this forum have high respect for the fish they keep, and cares about the all fish in general, therefore seeing someone buy 2 very incompatible fish, in this case when one was bound to kill the other, is not something people on here, including myself, take lightly.

All we are trying to do is save the fishes life, because it was going to be killed.

With the "sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't" attitude in this hobby, you will not make it very far, sure, you may have some, normally incompatible, fish together, but how many lives were sacrificed to get there? Usually, there were more then just a few, or you may have just gotten lucky, regardless, most of the time fish don't work this way.

Now just to add, I went through the stage of this sort of impulse buying a long time ago, and I 100% understand where your coming from, but thing is, once the stage wheres off, you will realize just how dumb it was, doing what was done to the fish.

well said and i never said it wasnt good info from japes or anyone else. As a wise man told me its not what u say its how u say it. That being said i totally understant there point but they pissed me off all the time by jumping on people, like they better or something cause they have the experience and knownledge that us rookies dont.

Impluse buys are hard for someone like me, that buys want i want when i want. I have a better understanding with this hobby now and i control myself with the fish buying.

Thanks for your reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!
