Do their patterns break up and change as they get older or stay the same? Tig is around 10 inches and has only straight line pattern.

I think it varies with tigs.
Here is one in Taiwan many years ago. It went through lot of changes. (Unsure of exact timeline)

I wonder if all tigs are like all juruense - no matter what stripe pattern you start with, with enough years they will turn into a breathtakingly patterned fish.

I've been advocating this for years, I firmly believe this to be the case.

Interesting post. I didnt know their patterns changed, Mines about 8" with lovely straight line pattern I'd be a bit sad to see that change to be honest
