They seem to be a bit more active than Tigs from my personal experience, People call Juruense "Poor Mans Tigrinus" based upon the difference in price and markings. But don't get me wrong, Juruense are great cats.,

i miss my jur....when i sold my 240g to my friend he bought a gar shortley afterwards and it ate the jur...now that i got my 240g back ive bee contimplating getting another.
They are great cats.
I agree about them being more active.
Mine is easily twice as active as my Tig.
The Juru has his rock he likes to perch on in direct flow of the wave maker, and occasionally the flow lifts him off the rock, looks like he is flying.
Fantastic fish IMO.

yea, i was close in picking up a jur than i thought to myself and couldn't have two cats that sit around and do nothing. I'm more into the active fishes but wanted the tig just to give it a shot. I don't think you could go wrong with either. I'll post a pic of my tig soon enough

yea, he's about 7" only. i barely got him to start eating. he's slow getting to the food because the loaches eat shrimp as well.
