Hey guys, I bought a tigrinus or however you spell it not so long ago, when I kept it in a 10g it would eat feeders, then I moved it to a 135g and it eats from time to time, but now I have it in a 210g and its clueless where the food is at, and sometimes the feeder is infront of its face and it lacks motivation to even eat it. My water is pristine, no nitrate, no nitrite, no ammonia whatsoever, I do a 30% water change every day. The tankmate never bothers it, never have any scratches or bite marks on it. Everyone says its pretty skinny, its about 6-7 inches. HELP ME FEED IT PLEASE! I Don't want it to die :(

hand feed it put some shrimp or tilapia on some tongs and hand feed it after awhile he will get more aggressive then you wont need to hand feed it anymore,,,,, see you at 2pm tommorow

Thanks Scott, I'ma try it out. See you tomorrow at 2.

Don't worry since he is not sick he will not let himself starve to death.

id stay away from the feeders and go with what wilson4 said. what are the other tankmates

Try moving it back to a smaller tank alone till he starts eating again

the other tankmate is an aro and armatus. isde02 I can't put it in my smaller tank cause I'm growing out some pbass. I'm gonna try the shrimp method, but I've heard stories about Tigs and shrimp.. anyone wanna clarify that myth for me

i have fed my picky catfish using a wire coat hanger. you bend it out straight like you were making a marshmallow skewer with a handle, and make sure that the end isn't sharp AT ALL. then stab your food on the end. this method allows you to dance the food in front of the catfish, and its much less noticeable to the fish because the wire is so small. works great for me every time

How long has it been in the new tank? If it's less than 2 or 3 weeks I wouldn't worry.
Oliver

i don't have a wired coat hanger but i tried with a fishing string with no luck :( and I can't get my armatus on shrimp either it tries it and spits it out
