today I came home and found my tig stiff on the bottom of the tank. this is the second tig I have lost in 3 years at the 5" mark. I was wondering what im doing wrong. It was in a tank with to reticulated ray and a tire track eel all that seem to be doing well. The filtration was 2 sponge filters one with a power head one with air line. the tank also had a bubble wand to help push more water around.

ask questions and ill do my best to answer. but any Ideas would be nice to hear.

You want very good water and diet for them. What are your water params? Sponge filters IMO are a good addition to the filter system, but for keeping monster fish I'd go with some more filtration. What's the tank specs and diet!

Tank is too small, but ok if he was under 5". Feeder fish are unhealthy and tigs aren't known to be very hardy fish. Also why spend hundreds on a tig and not spend 20 on a heater?
