What's your water change schedule like? Any chance they don't have clean enough water?

Makes sense. I would do 1 protein feeding to 3 days plant feedings and bump up to 2x small feedings per day. The same schedule worked very well with my rose line barbs.

Honestly, I haven't tested the water. But it's a 45 gallon tank, it's not too stocked and I do 40-50% changes weekly.
