Tiger Barbs are terrible dithers

Try Buenos Aires tetras. They too will be eaten over time but I've had them stay alive until my parachromis loisellei were 5 inches.

Putting dithers with piscavores such as Parachromis is bit like asking an orca not to eat a penguin. Parachromis eat any fish it can swallow and then some. Smallish dithers work with non-fish eaters like Vieja, Astatheros etc, but putting them Parachromis, is a waste.

Yeah. It was a rough lesson, I actually rehomed my RTM. But I think some of the deaths might have just been from them getting stuck to my overflow during the night. But regardless, I think I'm going to go with a larger species in the future.
