Tiger Barbs as dithers for medium sized cichlids?

I kept 5 tiger barbs with a breeding pair of convicts in a 55 gallon. worked well the cons could never target one fish. I then added a second pair of cons, the barbs just tried to hide in the corners, they had nowhere to run. You could posibely try giant danios also.

i'd go with giant danios. or you could try some congos or buenos aires tetras also.
