Tiger barbs or Columbian tetras in planted tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Columbian’s are tetra’s;) They are much more plant friendly than most cichlids would be to a planted tank....not an issue.

Tiger barbs can just be down right nasty for some reason....no real explanation as to why, they just are and I sure wouldn’t put them in a grow out tank.

OK, so most people say Columbians but why? Are the aggressive enough for what may be some hard cichlids (don't know what types I'll be getting) or are the barbs too much for young cichlids? Also, a little off point but does anyone know the growth rate of fat sleeper gobies, I can't seem to find anything but information on them getting big and eating a lot. Are they really that bad in a planted tank and if I was to scratch the barbs or tetras, unlikely, would one go good in the grow out tank? I know it's off topic but I didn't want to start a new thread.
