I'm not going on the shape of the jaw, it is irrelevant at this size. There's only one way to get a positive ID at this point, to find out what water it was caught in.

Every Goliath i've kept/seen all have the same mouth. I've kept them as small as 2'' And as big as 15''. They allway's have that dead give away Goliath snout.
Goliath at 5''
Goliath at 15''
IMO It's easy to tell Goliath from all other ATF's. jmo
Agree, I have owned most of the types, and GATF is always very easy to pick out. For me it's the dog face that alwys stands out, I have only owned them down to 4-5 inches, but at that point it was very obvious.
I still say non-goliath
I had a 5" GATF that was skinny so he looked diff... except the snout. Looked just like BigJ's... I have also been to LFS that have kept GATFs in a single tank and all looked like G's. Exoticfishguy had his at 8-10" when I seen them a few years back n they looked the same.
I do hope its Goliath but I dont see it
Try to take a still pic of his scales (as close as you can), also take a pic of his scales on a angle (shoot for the center of his body height on both pics).
Also take a pic of his snout... that should be the icing on the cake. Even not good pics will show these markings
Small or big, GATF's all have that Horizontal line that goes across the body... guatranteed to have that certified mark on ALL GATFS
