how warm of water has anyone kept on in long term? i had a crazy thought of having one with a ray. figure it cant eat the ray so it would be one of the few tankmates it could have. it is just my ray tank is 85f and idk if the tiger could take it. i know bowfins can take it and bass, but not sure on the hybrid muskie.

just a random thought. i will have one just i was thinking about getting one sooner. i can and most likely will wait until i get a native tank for it.

Where r u finding these tiger muskie, been looking for one for about a year now, can't get my hands on one.... currently have 4 northern pike, purchased from a hatchery and they've all done almost too good. Don't heat the tank, but don't chill it in the summer either. I bought 4 thinking they wouldn't all settle in and live, now I have 4 all over a foot long, comfortably living with a variety of other natives, and about a 20 inch arro..... not sure what I'll do with 4 of them in the future, but as of now they are pretty awesome fish.

my state is the main producer of tiger muskies in the country. a lfs by me gets them in alot with pikes. the next time i see some i may get some for some people if interested. i may get 2-3 and put them in the market place, since i can ship. they usually get them in the spring and mid summer. i can order from some hatcheries but they would cost alot more and be bigger.

I keep my rays at 78F. 85 is way to hot for a ray. I know of people that keep rays long term at 77 or slightly lower.

ill lower the temp down then. i always have had my tanks warmer. i just wanted to play it safe.
