Not sure if this is an option, but you could try redfin/grass/chain pickerel, they can tolerate higher temps than the larger species and should make fine tankmates for most rays.

i have thought about them. i may try one with my gars. i dont know if i want to risk it though, my gars are know killers.

i am going to wait until i get a defferent tank for my tiger muskie. i am geting some orinos to go with my ray right now.
