Well I've had goldfish live for yrs and yrs in water at that temp, and mine are obviously healthy so, meh. I'm not particularly attached to them, they don't have names incase they get eaten. Anyways. Both clearmax and matrix help w/ the nitrates. I heard so many different things about the matrix, someone even said it killed their fish! But after hrs of research, only one person said that, leading me to believe it was not the matrix. But lots of people said it works to help remove nitrites, nitrates and ammonia. Others said it can't help, but never tried it for themselves, so can't really take their advice. But I got it for the ammonia and nitrate removal. The 2 things I need most
